Constant Feed Disposer: Once you switch the unit on, it operates continuously until it is shut off.

Batch Feed Disposer: To operate this unit, you must place the lid on before it will start.


Features

• Motor Power: The more powerful the unit, the less likely it is to jam up when handling small bones or tougher jobs, such as orange peels. Disposals for the home typically range from 1/2hp up to 1 hp with the most popular being ¾ hp.
  
  
• Stainless Steel Grind Components: Stainless steel components tend to be more durable.
  
  
• Grind Speeds: The grind speeds vary quite a bit in garbage disposals. Selecting a disposal with high rpm’s will ensure that the food will be ground into tiny pieces and reduces clogged drains.
  
  
• Specialty Switches: Some brands offer fiber optic switches or air switches. These switches are buttons that can be installed directly into your countertop and eliminate the need for a wall switch.
